Vacation Bible School 2009

The week following Gateway Camp, our family helped to run a Vacation Bible School with Shanti Ministries for the minority kids in our area. There were about 25 Nepali kids who attended. Many of these children come from a Hindu family background.

Well, our summer has flown by! I’m sure that you are thinking the same thing as September draws near and autumn will soon be upon us. Where did the last few months go? We hope that you have had some time this summer to enjoy being with God and with family and friends, and to know and love them more!

Visas!!!

After waiting for the last 2 and a half years, we are finally on our way to getting long term visas here in Hong Kong! Craig just picked up the visas today and the only thing left is to leave Hong Kong and enter again, which will activate the visas.

That Your Fruit Should Remain

How do we know when we have been successful making disciples?

Are we really reproducing that which Jesus expected when He said we should be "teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you" (Matt 28:18-20) In John 15 He says that He appointed us to bear fruit, fruit that lasts! This is all in the context of abiding in Him and loving one another... Actually you should read it now;

“As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.

Family Adventure Camp at Noah's Ark!

A few weeks ago we were privileged to be a part of the first ever Family Adventure Camp in Hong Kong! This was a joint venture of The Vine Christian Fellowship (our church) and Gateway Services Asia (where Craig is staff), and King's Kids International. It was held at Hong Kong's very own life sized replica of Noah's Ark! The Ark has a hotel and hostel inside, along with many meeting rooms, a restaurant, museum, theater, and more. We didn't even see half of it! It really makes you realize how huge the actual Noah's ark was! It's amazing that we can have this in Hong Kong.
