Happy New Year

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future." (Jeremiah 29:11)

At the start of a new year, we are filled with anticipation for what God has in store. He has reassured us that He has good plans in place for our family. Even though we are still waiting for our visa situation to be resolved, we can rest in His promise to take care of us. We are excited to see all the good things that will happen in 2008!

Thank you to all of our faithful prayer and financial supporters for investing in our lives and ministry this last year. You have been a part of touching many lives for God's Kingdom in Asia. This last year has been a time of "sowing seeds" and we look forward to seeing the truth that was planted grow into a harvest of salvation. Let's work together to see God's Kingdom come and His will done in Asia in 2008!

One of the ways God has used our family this last year has been in the area of hospitality. When we left a year ago, we purposed in our hearts to create a home in Hong Kong that would be open to visitors and that would touch others with the love of Christ. We are amazed at how many people we have been privileged to have for a visit in our home during this last year. We pray that God will use our family to spread His love and truth to all who visit.

This last year Craig has been able to help with a ministry to refugees in Hong Kong. He has seen God's hand at work in these people's lives as they trust Christ and give their lives to Him. There are many people who will be in Hong Kong only a short while, and then will move on to another country. While they are here, they are trained and equipped to be leaders for God's Kingdom. After they leave, they can pass on God's truth to others.

God has led us into friendships with many different people, in many different walks of life. We have been able to sow seeds of truth into the lives of our friends that don't know Jesus. We pray that God will water these seeds with His Spirit and they will result in their salvation. Please continue to pray with us for lost of Hong Kong.

In 2008, we desire to see more people equipped to do God's work, and more people mobilized to act on God's word. We especially want to see the church of Hong Kong mobilized into action, both locally and globally. Please pray for us, since we sometimes feel like a kid with a slingshot and a few stones in the face of a giant. But we know that God is bigger than any giant and He loves to see His will done through the weak and imperfect (but willing!) vessels of His Kingdom.

Please continue to pray for these things:

1. That our visa situation will be resolved
2. For opportunities to speak and show God's truth to those who need to hear and see it
3. For opportunities to help mobilize and equip the church of Hong Kong
4. For provision and protection for our family

PS...The picture above is from our recent trip to Hong Kong Disneyland. Our good friends here in Hong Kong treated us to an all-expense-paid day of fun. What a blessing! We felt like it was a surprise Christmas gift from God. We all really enjoyed it.
