Gateway

The wait is over! On this coming Tuesday, we will be submitting our visa application with a ministry here in Hong Kong called Gateway Services, Asia.

Over the last two months, Craig has been volunteering at Gateway. Craig met Dale Kauffman, the founder of Gateway, a couple years ago, and he really sensed that we would be working together sometime in the future. Busy schedules didn't really permit the relationship to move much farther for about a year's time. Then last spring Craig had the chance to sit down with Dale and really hear the heart and vision of Gateway. When Craig related the vision of Gateway to me, I agreed with him that this was so similar to what God had put on our hearts about 5 years ago, that it seemed foolish not to join them. We both had a strong sense that God was leading us.

We really consider it an honor to be working with and learning from Dale. He is the third generation in his family to serve in China since 1906. He was born in China, and raised and educated in Japan, Hong Kong, Canada, and the United States. He the founder of King's Kids International and Gateway Services, Asia. King's Kids International (KKI) is a ministry of Youth With A Mission and is now serving in over 120 nations. Over the past 30 years, Dale and his wife Carol, along with their four children, have ministered God's heart of linking the generations.

Gateway is a non profit organization dedicated to partnering together with the Church in Hong Kong. The name "Gateway" is referring to the influence that the city of Hong Kong has in Asia. As a role model for China, Hong Kong is in a very unique position of influence. What happens in Hong Kong affects millions of people.
