People Profiles Website

Ok, so I am thinking of developing a website for collaborating on "people group" and "city" profiles. Here is the breakdown of some of the ideas as well as why this is needed as there are already lots of profile sites out there already.

Here are some of the ideas in no particular order...

• View the profile on google maps as well as google earth (can you imagine spinning the globe around and praying for a people group or planing your next outreach)
• Link to other web resources such as wikipedia, CIA World Fact book, 4k, Bethany's profiles, the Joshuah project...
• Have groups based on profiles so you could join a group with others focused on a certain profile.
• Network on events and projects!(this is where we start to get a bit more in depth than just static profiles)
• Collaborate on the profiles users with proper permissions can edit the profiles and keep them up to date.
• Each profile will preferably have moderator that is actually working with that group so the info should be more reliable.
• Non-denominational and Non-Organizational. But rather an Eldership and Community model if any decisions need to be made.
• Photo Gallery for each Profile
• Videos including Prayer Profile Videos added by you :)

And why is this needed? Well even though there are quite a lot of Prayer Profile sites out there they don't allow you to update them easily and quickly get out of date. They have done incredible work and that is why we link to them.

I just think collaborating will give greater sustainability and greater accuracy to the profiles. Also the goal of this site is NOT to get information about people groups to you but rather YOU to the people groups.

We don't need to have all the people in hell grouped up into nice sized profiles, we need to reach them. So we will have places to advertise your outreach or ministry and get others to help you.

Kingdom of God Collaboration, thats the idea!

Ok, so now its your turn I need people who want this to happen to get involved with whatever ideas and skills you have. For this to get off the ground we need...

1. Prayer
2. Money
3. Ideas about a Name for the site (check if it is available .org )
4. Profiles, we need info on people groups, pics, videos
5. We need Ministries to invest their research into the profiles
6. Publicity: Community driven sites don't do to well without people :)
7. Ideas Ideas Ideas
